In the near future, wireless networks using long distance 802.11 technology
will be constructed. We then investigated network performance of
long-distance 802.11 link. In our experiments, we measured all metrics
on network, mac and phy layers to evaluate the network performance.
We needed a long straight line (more than 4 km!) for performance
investigation of long distance 802.11 technology. So, we went Ishikari
riverside in Hokkaido.
