The “MWS Cup” is a competition in which participants compete for analysis results by working on tasks within a specified time frame, utilizing the results of anti-malware research using research datasets. The team consisting of Araki, a second-year master’s student, and first-year master’s students Ooka, Takigami, and Yamada won first place in the static analysis category and second place in the DFIR category.
The “Hardening Competition” organized by the Hardening Project, of which Dr. Kadobayashi is the executive committee chair, received the Japan’s Good Design Award 2022 (sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion).
